Majopage creations are made from wood or wood products. Like all-natural products, you will see imperfections due to fibers, grain, and knots. No two items are alike and colours will vary due to the woods & stains used. Due to the rustic nature, you will see nails & screws that are meant to add to the feel of the piece. Please note - thou wood, cut-out lettering is extremely fragile and requires it to be handled with care. If you are requiring a smooth product, you are likely looking for a plastic product & recommend a commercial sign company to assist you with your request. Unless stated, signs do NOT come with hanging hardware or fasteners. Given we are unsure of your installation intentions, we suggest you purchase fasteners that are best suited to the situation. Some signs are quite heavy for simple hooks and do recommend you secure by best means. We are happy to provide suggestions.
How to order
Majopage is pleased to offer a variety of popular designs which you can order online. However, majority of the work is custom, and we welcome you to contact us with your requests at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include any photos, colours, and size requests. Price is based on the size and complexity of the piece. For personalized signage, please include first and last names with date information if it applies. Please include any special requests for colours. We are limited to the standard colours that the products come in however there are varieties to choose from. To assure accuracy, you will receive a design drawing from us to show you what your item will look like. Please take the time to review it and assure all information is correct. All special requests will be handled as such. We will correspond via email & with drawings until you are satisfied with the design. At that time, a quote based on such customization will be given. Once all is accepted & payment is received, only then is the product made. Please read through the product description to see if the item you are interested is made to order or is a stock item. With all pieces made to order, please allow significant time for us to create. Please contact us for the current studio schedule. The majority of items take approximately 3-4 weeks to create, after artwork approval. During peak Holiday times, additional time is required. Please plan on ordering by early November for Christmas delivery. Shipping within Canada normally takes approximately 5-7 days (Holidays do require additional time) Should you be requiring graphic design services, you will receive JPG proofs during the design process. Once approval & payment has been received, you will receive, in multiple formats, high-resolution files for printing and vector purposes. Should you require a specific format, please let us know. eGift cards are available for online purchase only through Square. Once purchased, you can print them from your computer or send them via email. Physical hand-written gift certificates can be prepared but need to be first purchased only for tracking purposes.
Payments & Shipping
Payment is due and payable upon ordering, in keeping with our Etsy store. Payment can be done in three ways - EMT, Credit Card via the Square or PayPal. In all cases, your payment is secure by 3rd party affiliates. We do not accept COD payments, in cash or by any means. All payments are done online to assure proper tracking & for your and our protection. Prices do NOT include shipping. Pick-up appointments are arranged at the time of completion and must be kept to the best of your ability. You will be able to reschedule your pickup two times. Aa $20 rebooking fee will apply for each rescheduled appointment thereafter. When selected, parcels are shipped via Canada Post Expedited services and are packaged to assure safe delivery. Depending on location, please allow 2-14 days for your package to arrive. Large custom pieces & international shipment may be subject to duty and additional fees, which are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have shipping inquiries.
Returns & Refunds
All Sales are Final. If you have ANY questions, please email us PRIOR to your purchase. There are NO refunds, exchange or store credit. Plenty of pictures along with the item description are provided so that you will know exactly what you will be receiving. Colours may differ slightly depending on the device you are looking at. If you have any questions, please ask prior to your purchase. We will not refund any monies for purchases for customers who have changed their minds or found a less expensive product somewhere else. If you do not notify us of a specific date you need the item delivered, we will assume it falls under our timeline, which is stated in the item’s description. Any disputes with an item you receive must be made within 24 hours of receiving your order through the Contact option on this website or via email to email@example.com (do not message through Social media). All other items are reviewed on an individual basis and will be exchanged for credit if found to abide by our shop policies. We hold no responsibility for items broken or damaged due to the customer's inability to install or hang items properly. In a rare occassion, there is product failure the item must returned before any compensation is given. Insurance is included in our shipping quotes over $100 and covers lost items only. Canada Post insurance does not offer insurance for broken or damaged items. All items are packaged appropriately for shipping purposes, and extended care is given to assure your item does not break during transport. We do not provide compensation for orders that took longer than expected to arrive. Shipping times are estimated, but not guaranteed. We make every effort by using reputable shipping companies and use their quoted timelines as reference. However, issues within their system are out of our hands. Studio Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST, however, it is not open to the public. Visits & pick-ups are by appointment only. Email inquiries are responded to during select, limited times. Due to the nature of the work, no phones are kept in the shop or studio to assure there are no hazardous distractions. Evening and weekend inquiries are returned as soon as possible. The studio is closed for all Canadian National Holidays & we are closed yearly between Christmas & New Years, as well as select dates for family vacation. Workshop Cancellation policy
Due to the custom nature of our studio, registration fees and project purchases are non-refundable. Projects not completed or product not picked up at the workshop will only be kept for a period of 30 days from the original booking or order. Cancellation due to weather events or shutdown due to Covid restrictions will have registrations re-booked to another date or projects prepared as a do-at-home-kit. Due to staffing, we reserve the right to cancel workshops if attendance is below 4 attendees.
Private Party policy
Studio rental fee is due when booking your private party. It is non-refundable. If you choose to cancel your private party the rental fee will not be refunded due to the nature of our studio and the demand for private party times on our calendar. A minimum of 4 attendees is required to host a private DIY Party. Due to staffing, we reserve the right to cancel workshops if attendance is below 4 attendees. Your rental fee will not be refunded. In the event of a closure due to extreme weather conditions or mandated closure due to Covid 19 restrictions projects will be prepared as DIY To Go at home projects and can be picked up curbside or your party can be rebooked to a later available date. For private parties, we require all attendees to register and provide complete customization information for their project at least 1 week in advance so we can prepare the materials for your party.
Workshop Attendee Confirmation
An email will be sent a day or two prior to the event to remind those attending, go over a few housekeeping rules and review the project being done. IF YOUR PROJECT MENTIONED IS INCORRECT – PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIDATELY TO RECTIFY! We DO NOT prepare materials DURING the class. The machinery used is noisy and disburses smoke, which makes for an unpleasant atmosphere.
Age & Other Restrictions
Unless otherwise noted, all workshops are meant for adult attendance. Kids DIY workshops are specifically identified. Due to the tools used, the stain and small sharp objects, infants and children under the age of 16 are not permitted in our studio while a workshop is being held. If a participant brings an infant or child, they will be asked to rebook for a different workshop when they can attend ‘child’ free and enjoy the educational experience fully. Kids DIY workshop – a parent or guardian must remain in attendance during the class. We are NOT trained Child Care professionals. Age restrictions are advertised within the project description. Should you feel, your child can attend a workshop, be attentive for the allotted time & can complete the advertised project but is not within the stated ages, please contact us. Should you be a regular customer, and/or your child has attended one of our workshops in the past, they may stay unattended. Please contact us to discuss the project so we both can agree if this is acceptable. Only those registered for a workshop are permitted to attend the class. Those not registered for the workshop will be asked to leave. No friends or visitors are permitted to casually visit during the workshop. This is disruptive & disrespectful to the others in attendance working within the scheduled time frame.
By way of your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood & agree to the following statements: I understand that I will use and/or be exposed to drills, hammers, mallets, nails, sandpaper, sawdust, lasercutter residual by-products, paint and low VOC paints during Majopage Creative workshops. I agree to be responsible for any damages to Majopage Creative’s tools, equipment or facilities, to the extent and in the percentage, I cause such damages. I recognize there may be certain inherent risks in participating in Majopage Creative workshops. I agree to take precautions and observe all Majopage Creative policies, recommendations, directions, rules and warnings, whether provided orally or in writing. In addition, during the COVID 19 pandemic I recognize there is additional risk in being in a public environment and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and my personal belongings. I agree to not attend if I have symptoms associated with Covid 19 or if I have been exposed to anyone testing positive with Covid 19 in the last 7 days. I agree to adhere to all provincial health guidlines. I further agree to release and discharge Majopage Creative for any injury, loss or damage that may arise out of my participation in Majopage Creative workshops or my presence in Majopage Creative facilities whether caused by me, Majopage Creative or any third party. I agree to indemnify and defend Majopage Creative against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments costs or expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees and other litigation costs which may in any way arise from my participation in Majopage Creative workshops or my presence in Majopage Creative facilities. We love sharing photos of the beautiful work you do through social media and print advertising! If you would prefer not to share your photo, please opt out of the picture taking at the beginning of the workshop. I HAVE READ THE Majopage Creative POLICIES AND THIS SAFETY WAIVER AND UNDERSTAND THEM. I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT BY PURCHASING THE WORKSHOP OR ANY OTHER PRODUCT, I VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS THAT I MIGHT OTHERWISE HAVE.
